Tennessee River

Bio

Seven-part harmonies are the foundation of Tennessee River. Formed in 2002, the Alabama tribute from San Francisco features Russ Birtola on lead vocals, Sal Birtola on bass, Mark Jones and Mike Rose on guitars, Kirk Gibbs on keyboards, Michael Ray on fiddle, and Ben Street on drums. Tennessee River, Roll On, and Angels Among Us are among the songs. The group’s vocal focus carries through a repertoire that connects traditional country with the crossover sound of Alabama.
