Tribute to Alabama
About
First and foremost - seeing a ROLL ON show is like being at a 1980's/1990's Alabama concert - both in sight and sound!
ROLL ON – The Tribute to Alabama is comprised of veteran professional musicians from the Pacific Northwest. Lead singer Brian Pelky first saw Alabama in concert in 1982 when he was just 16 years old. “When I saw them for the first time, it was to me like seeing the Beatles was to many others…..it changed me”. He learned to play the guitar from listening to their albums.
Years later, in 2020, Pelky finally decided to form Roll On –The Tribute to Alabama with fellow bandmate and bassist Jerry Hatcher. After finding the 3rd ingredient, singer/lead guitarist/fiddler Doug Reeder, they had everything they needed to proceed. They spent months of intense vocal rehearsals, paying detailed attention to every nuance of the vocal parts.
The result is an energetic and authentic recreation of an Alabama show, comprised mostly of #1 hits from the 1980’s and 90’s – songs like Tennessee River, Mountain Music, Love In The First Degree, Old Flame, Closer You Get, Lady Down On Love, Can’t Keep a Good Man down, If Yer Gonna Play In Texas, Roll On and many more!
