Long Live Country Music – where history, heart, and hit songs come alive.
About
All About the Show
Ron Keel (aka Ronnie Lee Keel) made his mark as a hard rocker in the 1980s, when his catalog—produced by Gene Simmons of KISS—sold millions of records and landed him on the Billboard Hot 100. His career took him around the world, including a 1987 tour with Bon Jovi that featured three sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden, plus stadium dates with Van Halen and Aerosmith, cementing Keel’s reputation as a world-class entertainer.
Fans were surprised when his VH1 special Ron Keel Goes Country (1995) became the highest-rated episode of Where Are They Now? in the show’s history. But for Keel, it was a natural return to his roots. Born in Georgia and raised by a working-class father who occasionally played acoustic guitar with Hank Williams Sr., country music was always part of his DNA.
In 2006, Keel created, co-produced, and starred in Country Superstars Tribute, which became the longest-running country music casino show in Las Vegas history. The show headlined the Golden Nugget for two years and enjoyed extended runs at multiple casino venues.
Now, Keel has combined decades of experience to create Long Live Country Music—a powerful tribute to America’s most beloved genre. This production blends current and classic country hits, brought to life by top-tier singers and seasoned Las Vegas musicians. While not strictly an impersonator show, the cast channels the looks, voices, and personalities of country’s biggest stars with uncanny accuracy.
Adding to the authenticity, the show also introduces emerging national country artists, each showcasing a short headline set of original material. In the spirit of keeping country music alive and evolving, Long Live Country Music shares these fresh voices with new audiences.
Ron Keel himself hosts and performs throughout the show, lending his voice, music, and presence to every concert. Each performance includes an intimate acoustic sit-down segment, where the cast pays tribute to legends like Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard, weaving history and storytelling into the music.
Patriotism also runs deep in the show. During emotional American country anthems, audiences are known to stand, cheer, wipe away tears, and raise their fists in celebration—capturing the spirit of country music at its most powerful.
Long Live Country Music is more than a tribute. It’s a journey through the heart of the genre, a celebration of the past, present, and future, led by one of rock and country’s most versatile voices—Ron Keel.
